Judged "Excellent" by the Care Quality Commission  (the top rating),  Ashlands is a small family-owned nursing home personally managed by Mrs Anna Mai Marriott (Matron) who is a Registered General Nurse, and holds a Diploma in Counselling.

In addition Mrs Marriott trained in the Continuing Care of the Dying Patient and the Family (ENB 931) at St. John’s Hospice, Cheadle, Cheshire.

Mrs Marriott has many years experience of providing quality nursing care for the elderly, physically disabled and care of the dying and also holds a Level 4 NVQ in management - Registered Manager (Adult).

We aim to treat every resident on an individual basis. Our homely atmosphere reflects the highest possible standards of care. Every resident, irrespective of personal circumstances, will be treated with dignity and respect and we will ensure privacy, independence, choice and fulfillment. Our dedicated and professional staff provide skilled, sensitive care, aiming to ensure that service users have the highest quality of life. The home employs Registered Nurses 24 hours a day, together with Care Assistants, Catering, Domestic and ancilliary staff under the personal control of the Matron.
